Frequently Asked Questions
How are you delivering fans/streams? Are these bots?
All tracks are promoted across Universal Music Group’s private network of fans according to your genre and demographics. Fans are directly sent the music via various methods such as social media, email, etc. In addition, your track(s) will also be promoted across our own networks which consist of certified playlist curators, DJs, blogs, etc. It is up to the owners of the platforms to decide whether they choose to post the artist/music or not. WE DO NOT DELIVER BOTS TO YOUR MUSIC. IT WILL BE OBVIOUS IN THE ANALYTICS THAT THESE ARE REAL PEOPLE LISTENING TO YOUR MUSIC.
What type of people will you be sending my tracks to? Who will be listening?
Your tracks will be played almost entirely by fans in your genre and demographic. We’re not going to be sending your music to people who have no interest in the type of music you create. We will specifically target the RIGHT type of fans to get you and your music the very best chance to go viral and hopefully open up other financial opportunities for your career.
Do you own playlists? Do you place music on playlists?
No, we do not own, control, or curate any playlists. Why? Because 99% of all the playlists are just scams. The only playlists that are legitimate, and actually get exposure for an artist, are all owned and curated by the major labels, who put their own artists on those playlists. You can’t even pay your way onto these playlists.
People or “companies” will attempt to charge you money to put your song on their playlist. When you look at the playlists, you might see an impressive large amount of playlist followers, streams, monthly listeners, etc. The catch is that these guys are just sending cheap foreign bots to boost the numbers up on your song but no one is ever actually listening to your music.
What type of artists and genres of music do you work with?
We have networks for most genres of music.
- Hip Hop/Rap
- Country
- Pop
- Dance/Electronic
- Latin/Reggaeton
- Afro-Pop
- R&B/Soul/Neo-Soul
- Rock
- Metal
- Gospel
- Classical
If you feel your music is very obscure then please feel free to contact us to see if we have a network to put your campaign on.
Will I receive royalties from this service?
The short answer is YES. These are real listeners on our networks that are listening to your music. Therefore, the streams are eligible to receive royalties. In addition, our networks pay a premium royalty rate because most of the fans on our networks are paid premium users.
However, there are some distributors who are known to skim or flat-out steal royalties by using the “artificial streams” excuse as soon as an artist starts gaining momentum. Each distributor has been pressured into building their own algorithms to detect artificial streaming activity. The problem is most of those algorithms do not actually work and constantly false flag artists and songs with false-positives due to basic engagement. DistroKid and United Masters are known to be the worst offenders of this and we advise all artists to avoid both. Also, make sure to read the fine print when you sign up with a distributor. Some distributors like United Masters will automatically take 10%-%20 of all your royalties without you ever realizing it.
Royalty rates also vary per artist due to other various factors such as:
- country origin of streams
- publishing deals
- label contracts
- distributor
- independent royalty < major label royalty
Do you deliver exactly the amount of streams ordered or is that just the minimum?
The amount listed in each campaign is just the MINIMUM that we will deliver. Of course, the amount of fans/streams delivered in your campaign will go over the amount listed. How much further you go past that will ultimately depend on the quality of your content and how much the fans are sharing it around with others.
How do I send you my track link(s) for my campaign after I’ve purchased?
We will be emailing you immediately at the same email you entered at the checkout screen when you ordered. Please try to make sure you have access to this email for security purposes. If, for some reason, you do not receive our confirmation email, you can also contact us via the Contact Us form below or speak to one of our Live Chat agents at the bottom right corner of the website.
When will my campaign start?
Fans are delivered to your track(s) usually within 24-48 hours after receiving your order. However, they will not update the stats in their system for 24 hours after the campaign starts. The stats will be updated daily after and start showing on the song stats then.
How can I monitor and track the results of my campaign?
Access to a track’s data can be found on the dashboard of the Spotify For Artists mobile app. It’s free to download and use!
Which distributors are the best and worst to use?
We highly suggest using an established U.S. distributor like CDBaby or Tunecore. Smaller, foreign, “boutique” distributors aren’t even made to adhere to U.S. law. That means unless you live in their country, you don’t have any legal recourse. While every distributor has their own issues, we have found that these two are the most fair and balanced. They are the best when it comes to paying out on time and paying out royalties owed.
DistroKid is one of the worst to use because they are known to skim or flat-out steal artist royalties. They will hide behind the “artificial plays” excuse when an artist asks about royalties and begins to generate significant revenue. United Masters is another distributor that we advise every artist or label to stay clear from.
Do you have a money-back guarantee?
All stats and analytics should be showing on the dashboard on the artist mobile app after your campaign has been completed. If you have not received at least the number of fans/streams that were ordered, we will refund you 100% on that order. Contact us immediately if any issues ever arise.
